Mandarin courses are available in a learning environment of your choice:

SIB School goes to your business, office or home. We want you to learn in a convenient and relaxing environment. A placement test is provided for those who already have some proficiency of the language so that you enter at the appropriate level.
The Mandarin program has specific courses for specific needs and ages. There is also intensive study available upon request.

Introductory Mandarin (recommended for children age 4 to 10 years old)

Introductory Mandarin, designed for the early young learners, not only introduces the language but also presents a brief introduction to the Chinese culture. Learners will study Mandarin through short dialogues, popular children’s songs, folk songs, handicrafts and games. This creative learning will help your children to absorb Mandarin in a better way. This course consists of 3 levels.

General Mandarin (recommended for children age 10 to 16 years old)

Improves learner’s linguistic skills in Mandarin; includes listening, speaking, reading and writing skills through fun learning class activities. Materials studied are presented in interesting short dialogues and narrations. Every unit is intended to introduce the language itself and the application in daily life. This course consists of 12 levels.

Academic Mandarin (recommended for age 16 years old or more)

Improves the ability of the learner to use Mandarin for communication through various language skill exercises; encompasses listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Learners will not only have strong conversation skills, but will also be qualified to compose writings in different styles reasonably and logically. In addition, the learner studies briefly about Chinese people tradition and habits. Thus, the learner will obtain a total picture of what they are learning. This course consists of 7 levels.

Conversation Course (recommended for age 16 years old or more)

This course is structured for beginners who want to improve basic linguistic skills in Mandarin, especially speaking skills. In this course the learner will only study how to speak not how to write. Through actual dialogues and simple grammar, the learner will easily absorb all of the materials taught, and develop their own dialogues and narrations in actual situations. This course is divided in 2 parts.

HSK Preparation (recommended for high school graduate or more)

This preparation course is for those who want to enroll in HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test). The participants of this class must have taken at least 100 hours of Mandarin learning or those who have acquired 400-3000 basic Mandarin words.

Business Mandarin

This course is structured to improve the ability of the learner to use Mandarin for business communication through various language skill exercises. This course applies to those learners with Pre-intermediate proficiency.
